We must have long-range goals to keep us growing, to keep us living, to keep the magical experiences coming!
For me, my long-range goal was to get myself to America.
Remember, I grew up in a very poor village in India. So when I had stretched myself to the point I describe in this video, where I was making very good money and had a very nice life, it would have been easy for me to get comfortable, to settle there and stop growing.
Ah, but I knew that it was temporary. America was my dream. An even better standard of living was my dream. And to live my dream, I knew I had to keep stretching! And in order to continue to grow, we must sometimes let go of things that feel comfortable.
America, of course, eventually led me to Canada! But I would never have made it to either place if I had stayed where I was.
