When I was a young boy, we did not have any toys to play with. This turned out to be a good thing, because it taught me the power of resourcefulness. Rather than looking that problem of what we did not have, we would come up with solutions for what we COULD enjoy!
Tree branches became hockey sticks.
Rubber bands from bicycle tubes became rubber balls.
In our village, nothing was considered useless. We would use whatever we could find and come up with a new solution.
For me, this was a very powerful lesson. Find a way. Make a way! Be resourceful! Look for solutions and be creative. This is the key to growing and making dreams come true!
